(Oñati // Zumarraga // Loyola)

Known as the Ignatian Way, this guided tour takes us into the valleys of Gipuzkoa to discover the three wonders. The route begins in Oñati, one of the most important medieval towns in the province, where we will visit both the University of the Holy Spirit (University of Oñati) and the San Miguel Parish Church. After enjoying these Renaissance gems, we will continue with the most important sanctuaries. First, Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu, with its avant-garde temple built in the mid-20th century. Many famous artists at the time took part in its construction such as Eduardo Chillida, Jorge Oteiza and Nestor Basterretxea. The visit then takes us to Zumarraga to see Nuestra Señora de La Antigua, a hermitage with an exquisite wooden coffered ceiling. Lastly, we will get to know Loyola, the birthplace and home of Iñigo de Loyola, known as San Ignacio, founder of the Society of Jesus.
